An Introduction to Downloading and Utilizing Free Global Satellite Imagery for MSU Faculty and Staff

New technologies are making it easier than ever to access and analyze satellite imagery.  Through hands-on exercises, participants in this workshop will learn how to use this freely available tool for studying our changing planet.  TerraLook allows the user to select, download, interpret and display satellite images collected over the last 30 years – for almost anywhere on the globe!  This brand new tool provides new and easier ways for faculty and staff to integrate satellite imagery and analysis into their work, research, and teaching.  The purpose of this seminar is to provide faculty and staff members with the training necessary to take advantage of this free tool.
